KENNEY CO-HOSTS AAAS LIVE CHAT ON SCIENCE COMMUNICATION

Dr. Melissa A. Kenney, University of Maryland Assistant Research Professor and AAAS Leshner Leadership Institute Public Engagement Fellow, co-hosted an AAAS Live Chat on Science Communication on Wednesday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The chat was broadcasted on the AAAS Facebook and Twitter pages. Dr. Kenney and co-hosts Emily Therese Cloyd (AAAS), Shane Hanlon (American Geophysical Union), and Karen Lips (University of Maryland and AAAS Leshner Leadership Institute Public Engagement Fellow) discussed the importance public engagement, provided strategies for how scientists can engage policymakers from the local to the international level, and answered questions from the audience.
